![]() In a year this model will probably be discounted even more and the new SV models with the Chirp plus will be discounted as well and on their way to being discontinued. Bad and good thing is that technology moves soo quickly now. What I'm getting at is for the 550 price compared to the 750 price it's like your getting the CV transducer for free anyway. So I don't mind paying roughly 550 for it with the CV transducer. But some sites still list it for 749 with a transducer. I see the 7SV Chirp for sale at some online websites for roughly 550-560 with or without a transducer. In part due to the fact that they seem to get great reviews and are compatible with the Panoptix Transducers. Presently I am interested in purchasing the Garmin Ecomap 7SV Chirp. I don't know how these were advertised previously but right now they don't actually mention a downview in the advertising. However for lake fishing, If I only had the option of one or the other I would prefer the sideview elements to the downview. I appreciate the post as it does highlight the fact that there is no actual downview element in the bundled CV transducer. I don't think the advertising was due to a lawsuit but who knows.
